Broken Record

Some mornings I wake up and think...what am I going to write about?  There have been many Sundays when I feel the same way.  When asked to give a message for JAM, I always go into panic mode.  What will I talk about?  When given the platform to talk or write...what will I say?

God gives me the words every time.  It isn't that I doubt Him, but I sometimes wonder...how many times can I say the same thing over and over and over?  No matter how I spin it, isn't the end result the same?  I want  you to know how much He loves us.  I want you to know that He'd do anything for us...that He died for us...that He forgives us.  I feel like in our life experiences we learn bits and pieces of these things.  Through the kindness of others.  Through the outward reflections of Him through the actions of people around us.  Through our churches...our pastors...our friends and family.  But how many times do we have to hear it to truly believe it?

I think that God wants us to be reassured daily.  He wants us to pick up the bible and read and re-read the words until we know that we know that we know...that He is for real.  At the beginning of the day, we are pumped for Him.  I start off my day with devotions and prayer.  I write my blog and I get started with the 'day that the Lord hath made'!  But there are days that by the time we get home from school, work and our final game of the night...I am dragging and not praising Him in the slightest.  In fact, through the events of the day, I begin to doubt the very things He showed me earlier that day.

What is my point to all of this?  Well, I think I wanted to put out there that we are all in need of daily reminders that He is there.  And yep...the story starts and ends the same way.  You could sum it up in one verse...

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son.  That whoever believes in Him shall not parish, but have everlasting life.

He came...He created our world...He gave sent His son to die for our sins...and if you believe at the end of the day, you will have eternal life.

Broken record?  Maybe...but all of us need to be reminded of the gifts we have received from Him.  Today before bed, thank Him for your day and look forward to getting up tomorrow to hear His message again.

Have a Blessed Day!

My thoughts exactly! Here lately it seems like groundhog day! I step in the same "puddle" everyday! I too have to remind myself though it seems like no day is different, I have to remember what were headed for! ! ! !
