Okay all...this is my second post. For the devotional post scroll down. I wanted to share something though with all of you.
You've all heard me talk about the Kyrie Foundation and how much it means to me. Our main event (if you will) is coming up and it is so very important to me that we make our team goal. I realize some of you live no where near here, but I would love to have as many people sign up to be on our team as possible.
The 3rd annual Kyrie Foundation Twilight Walk will be held Sat. Sept. 18th, 2010 at Bishop Carrol High School in Wichita. The event starts at 5:00 pm and lasts usually til 9 or 10.
The Twilight Walk was started three years ago to help raise money for the Kyrie Foundation...which is raising money to help with the research in finding a cure for this horrible cancer. At the walk, we have games, entertainment and we walk as a group around the track in memory of Kyrie Dawn Thome and any other children who've battled this disease. We also walk in honor of the children that are fighting this battle right now...like Kate. You can read about Kate's story by clicking on her picture to the right of this post. We used to walk 9 laps...signifying the 9 children that are diagnosed EACH DAY. Sadly...we've had to up that number to 10.
If you feel called to be a part of this cause...please go to

and join our team or make a donation. If you haven't read of Kyrie's story...please do. Go to

and scroll down to where you can go back to the previous posts. The blog was started in Feb. of 2007 to keep friends and family updated with Kyrie's condition. From diagnosis to when Kyrie was called home was nine weeks. Please read the story and let it touch your heart. I know you'll be forever changed.
Thank you so much. I have added two links where you can register, donate or join our team. Please feel free to share these with friends and family and help Kyrie's Fighters reach their fundraising goal.
Thank you friends...and Go Kyrie Go!!!
Amy
