Update on Granny

*Granny was transported from Via Christi St. Joe to Via Christi St. Francis for surgery on her back yesterday morning.  The surgery was originally scheduled for 2pm and was moved back until almost 9pm.  Lots of emergencies yesterday!  She came through surgery okay and recovered through the night.  She was on a lot of pain medications that cause hallucinations most of the day yesterday...so today, it was very nice for the family to have her back to normal.  Well...as normal as you can be post op.  She is doing well.  She was resting most of the day, but was able to visit a little at a time and seemed to know exactly where she was and who we all were.  It was a blessing.  Thank you all for the prayers and support.  They found an infection in her spinal fluid that they will be treating with an IV antibiotic for the next 6 weeks.  There are many unknowns...(where the infection came from...what the infection is...) and we'll know more as the days go on.  Thanks for checking in on her.*
