Proverbs 16:9 we can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps

Isn't that the truth?

We can make plans all we want...and yet it still isn't up to us.  No matter how much time we spend wondering...worrying...calculating...fixing...adjusting...

The Lord determines our steps.


I read this on a blog that I was reading about a little girl with cancer.  Her name is Daisy.  Ironically...my favorite flower.

Daisy.  Lord...I know you have a plan for her.  Heal her Lord.


So often, we go about our days...and things happen beyond our control.  Sometimes they are little...and sometimes they seem bigger than life.  We do everything in our power...to fix whatever it is that is causing us pain.  And yet...we still struggle.  There are still struggles and suffering.  Because we don't have the power to fix life.  We simply live it.  Daily.  Some good...some bad.

Trusting.

Knowing that He has our best interests at heart.  And that our steps are already determined.

How comforting it is to know that our steps are already there.  We just have to walk...faithfully.

Whatever it is that is troubling you...know that it has a purpose...and so do you.  On the bad days, go knowingly to the Lord who has a plan for you.  On the good days, be grateful.
