Tug on a heart string

My Little was sick today.  He came home from school yesterday with a fever of 102.6.  I knew (as his Momma) that he was sick right away.  Took him to the Dr. this morning and sure enough...he has Tonsillitis.  I cannot tell you how grateful I was to hear that he had something simple like that.  They prescribed him some fast acting medicine and said he'd be back to normal in no time.

I was grateful.

But I couldn't help but think of my friend Lacie.  I just spent the last forty four minutes and twenty two seconds on the phone with her talking about final touches for the Kyrie Foundation Twilight Walk.  Hearing her voice and how much she misses Kyrie makes me want to make this the best Twilight Walk yet.  But, I cannot do it alone.  Not one person can do what it takes to make this night special.  It takes a little bit from many people.  I am so grateful to have people in my life willing to help.

To all of those who have donated money...Thank you.

To those of you who have donated items to the silent auction...Thank you.

To those of you who have offered to help in other ways such as baking, running the auction, helping in the style shop...etc.  Thank you.

To those of you who have taken the time to read the 4,000 posts and watch the videos that are almost too painful to finish watching...Thank you.

To those of you who are praying for the success of this event...for the hearts of those involved...and for the children who are fighting this disease every single day...Thank you.

It really does mean so much to know that you are helping.  Every little bit counts.  Every donation, every thought, every prayer, every action...it counts.  No matter how big or small.

I was blessed today to be able to take my child to the Dr. to be cared for.  So many parents out there right now...are still working to find a way to help their children.  The thought is almost too much to take.  If you are a parent...I know you understand that statement.

I have asked...and posted...and pleaded.  But...one more time...(or thirty)...if you can, please join us this Saturday for a night of family togetherness.
